Red Bull's amber color comes from colorants such as caramel color (E150) and riboflavin (E101). Riboflavin is just vitamin B2 and harmless. Some caramel colors (E150c/d) can contain trace 4-MEI, a contaminant under scrutiny, though levels are generally within regulatory limits.
